Our Story
Christopher David Gomez was born in Portland, Oregon on July 19, 1989 to David and Amparo Gomez. He moved to New Mexico when he was a baby, where he grew up in Anthony. Christopher joined the New Mexico National Guard at 18 years old, where he was an OH-58 A/C, UH-60, LUH-72A mechanic and crew chief for 15 years. He became a UH-60 Blackhawk pilot in October 2023. He moved to Albuquerque in 2024. He loves hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.
Caley Bryn Skroch was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on February 13, 1996 to Michael and Michele Duran (formerly Skroch), where she grew up with her four brothers. She obtained her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in nursing from UNM in 2017, where she then worked in various emergency rooms as a nurse and charge nurse throughout 2025. Caley continued to advance her career, obtaining her Doctor of Nursing Practice as a family nurse practitioner from NMSU in 2024. She currently practices medicine as an otorhinolaryngologist nurse practitioner at the National Sinus Institute. She loves reading, traveling, attending high tea, and spending time with her family and cats.
Christopher and Caley were introduced to each other through a mutual friend. Their first date was on November 1, 2024, and it was immediately love at first sight! They have been inseparable ever since! Christopher proposed on May 24, 2025, and Caley, of course, said yes! They are excitedly awaiting their wedding day and are overjoyed to share it amongst their family and friends!
